Synopsis: the cult of the Virgin of Bisila is one of the main elements of the Bubi culture (Equatorial Guinea). This Christianised female figure emerged from the impact of Spanish colonialism and was first represented by the writer Modest Gené from Reus, in 1968. Through archive materials, the direct observation of rituals and interviews, this film explores the history and current practices of this religious expression both in Guinea and Catalonia, on a journey revolving around her image.
